Restorative Yoga Workshop with Esther

Enjoy yoga in this quiet Hill Country retreat space.
Restore, relax, and renew with a 2 1/2 hours restorative yoga practice on:
Sunday, August 7, 2011 from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. @ Yoga Vela Studio in Driftwood.
Restorative yoga is a form of active therapeutic relaxation that uses props and blankets to modify traditional yoga poses. The postures gently open the body to deep relaxation and healing. This yoga practice is appropriate for all levels, especially those students new to yoga. Students may enjoy the rainwater fed hot tub, pool, and sauna after class.
Tea and light snack will be served.
Cost is $35.00 cash or check, prepayment is preferred, reservations suggested.
Class size is limited to 6 students, allowing for individual attention.

Yin Yoga Workshop – Sunday, Feb. 20

Longing to rejuvenate? It’s not too late to register.

Join us for a gentle, quiet Yin Yoga practice with Vedya on Sunday, February 20, from 1:30 to 4:00 p.m. at Yoga Vela Studio in Driftwood. Yin Yoga incorporates longer held FLOOR postures that stimulate and stretch the joints and connective tissue.

This class is accessible to students of any tradition and is great for beginners as well as experienced students of all ages and abilities. Enjoy deep relaxation with the gong and singing bowls during the practice.

Vedya Kaur returns to Yoga Vela studio for a Yin Yoga Workshop on Sunday, February 20, 2011 in Driftwood, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Yin yoga incorporates longer held floor postures that stimulate and stretch the joints and connective tissue.

Learn how to stimulate the flow of prana through the body and bring ease and increased range of movement into your body, mind and life. Enjoy a gentle practice that can leave you relaxed and feeling more “juicy” and rejuvenated. This class is accessible to students of any tradition and great for beginners as well as experienced students of all ages and abilities. Enjoy the deep relaxation of the gong and singing bowls during Savasana.

About Vedya: Vedya is registered with the Yoga Alliance at the 500 level. She has studied Yin yoga with Paul & Suzee Grilley and has also studied with Judith Lasater, PH.D and is a restorative yoga “Rest and Relax Trainer.” She is well versed in yoga fundamentals, lifestyle, philosophy and the techniques of Hatha and Kundalini yoga. Vedya has a lot of tapas, or “burning enthusiasm” for yoga, for breathing deeply, and for life.

Yoga Vela Welcomes Nora Fitzgerald (RYT)

Yoga Vela in Driftwood  welcomes Nora Fitzgerald (RYT). Join Nora for  a weekly Hatha yoga class on Monday mornings from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. Nora completed her training at Yoga Yoga in Austin and a certified Hatha yoga teacher in 2008. She is a student of Charly Pivert, Senior Anusara teacher in Austin, Texas. Nora recently attended a workshop with KK Ledford, Certified Anusara teacher from San Francisco.
